β β β β β Ok so first I booked a car via rentalcars and only then bothered to see reviews. Honestly I was worried (if not scared) by those. Surprisingly my actual experience was as smooth as possible. The staff was helpful and the service fast, no unexpected charges, no nit-picking, even fuel costs on the station next to parking were cheaper than I'm used to in this area (opposite to what some of the reviews say). The only drawback was the border-crossing charge (which I was not aware of) but this honestly I should've thought about in advance.

β β β β β DO not rent from here! They are a big scam. Rented a car from here from expedia and they gave a car with a damaged tire. We could only find out after driving out a few 100 miles. Had to get the tire changed on our cost as we had driven to Belgium already. When we returned the care, they charged us for the damaged car. The car already had a scratch on the side bumper when they gave it to us , so it was very clear that we did not damage the tire. But, the manager insisted on billing us. Despite the trouble that we had to go through to get the tired change! Definitely a big scam. And of course not the most convenient location from the airport.

β β β β β Second time renting here. Good prices, descent cars. Friendly staff. No problems at all.
Be aware that in Holland a full insurance coverage is not included at most car rental companies. Neither are winter tires. You will have to pay extra for this. As well as for crossing borders. So inform well before renting a car anywhere :-)

β β β β β Dollar need to implements improvements. At the airport we had to wait for 40 min for the shuttle service. Staff could be more friendly and show more kindness to us as customer. The car we rented was not cleaned properly upon delivery, showed wear and tear and was too old to be rented. It has however done a good job.

β β β β β No desk at the airport, only a small shuttle to take you to the car rental, which is place in another city (Hoofddorp). Shuttle bus was so small could not take all passengers. We had to wait almost one hour to get there and another hour to get the car. Coming back was better, but they still took them 40 mins to take us back to the airport. I cannot believe that Hertz support this crappy company.

β β β β β Everything is fine for the low price. Transfer to the airport works flawlessly, cars are clean and operational. The personnel is quite friendly and helpful. And most of all, there is no cheating and unfair small print. I was given an upgraded car of a higher segment for the same price. Would take this rent a car once more again in the future.

β β β β β Worst car rental experience ever.
Advertised as located in the Schipol airport, when actually they are located at a gas station in Hoofdorp.
It took us some time to find that out and find their shuttle pickup location, and waited around 40 minutes for their shuttle to arrive.
There was only one service person in the office, so we had to wait another 20 minutes to get serviced. Customer service was way below average.
We reserved basic car as we always did (economy) with other car rental companies in the past, for about the same price. In reality you get the smallest car possible (mini), in which you barely can fit a luggage of 2.
They charged additional 15EU/day for an upgrade for slightly bigger car. Very high deposit of 950EU!
Also they have weird border cross fees (50EU) which we never had with other companies. In total it cost us more than it would in a "normal" car rental. Stay away.

β β β β β ... great value for money. exit the arrivals area and look for hotel shuttle waiting area 15, the instruction says A15, but we couldn't find A15. pls see photos. the shuttle bus is 8 seaters only and the rental office is in Hoofddorp area next to a BP fuel station. friendly staff, no issues encountered, no pushy sales talk, pleasant experience.
