Well fermented dough that is light and also well fried arrancinis that were great and crispy even 30 min afterwards...
Definitely we order again soon.
Best Italian in leiden for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been waiting in the cold with 11 other people for half an hour and no sign that the food is coming any time soon. It's not like I was in a rush to have the food. I would say respect your customers enough to give them an honest approximate of when the food will be ready. I'd be happy to wait, but I'd rather do it at home on my couch.
Edit: The pizzas were delicious though, so hopefully the next time they are ready at the stated time.

The dough is extremely well made, light and crispy, with no heaviness sensation even after an entire pizza.
The topping is amazing, the ingredients are very well selected and masterfully blended. A delightful palate experience.
Extremely recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic Sicilian pizza's with an extraordinary fresh and special taste. We enjoyed and shared 4 different pizza's. Our favorite was the "Mama Etna" with pistachio. If you are into good pizza's and live in Leiden, go to Don Turi. The best, Ciao.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I live in Leiden since 12 years and I never found anything even close to Don Turi before. This is not only delicious pizza to eat abroad, but would be a great food experience in any Italian city as well. Congrats to the staff and pls do keep those cannoli coming!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The real thing, quite above all other pizza places in Leiden. We are a little bit addicted... We had pizze, Pizzoli and Arancini from Don Turi, and it's all of the highest quality. Only occasional problem is that because of the distance from the center, sometime the pizza arrives below optimal temperature. Keep your oven on for a last minute heating and problem solved.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m not one to routinely be out there spending €16,50 on a pizza, but ‘mamma etna’ was definitely worth every penny. What a beauty. I never knew pistachio could work so well on a pizza. The pollo alla birra and cannolo siciliano were also great. Both were generously filled - hence also definitely worth the money.
Would recommend to make a little side salad for yourself since it can be quite heavy.
