I found his personalised and patient approach to teaching the perfect way to learn the language and more about Dutch culture. The conversational element was always relevant to what was going in my every day life and I can honestly say that I looked forward to each lesson. Philippe has a natural gift for teaching and I wholeheartedly recommend him for those looking to learn Dutch.

My goal was to improve my Dutch language skills in order to pass the Inburgeringsexamen (Civic Integration Exams). He catered his tutoring and program specifically to that goal. He was also upfront and honest from the very start with the time/effort estimates that would be required of me/him. In a matter of months, I had successfully passed all the exams. And I'm still eager to continue to improve my Dutch as a result of working directly with him. Highly recommended!

He was always patient and listened to my needs and always made me feel assured. I think he used a very effective way of learning, and focussed a lot on vocabulary. He was also able to explain concepts without overcomplicating it too much. I definitely do not think I would have made it this far without him and highly recommend him as a Dutch teacher!

His methods not only make the language easy to understand but also makes grammatical concepts memorable. He also tailors the lessons to your needs and focuses on your weaknesses in order to improve them be it reading, listening, speaking, or pronunciation. I went from having zero knowledge to A2-B1 level. I highly recommend Philippe to anyone who wants to begin learning or improve his/her Dutch language. He is both versed and knowledgeable in the language but also has exceptional intuition on tailoring the lesson to the student. So get this... no homework, could you believe that? And still, you learn so so much. The traditional path of learning could be outdated but he has a flexible strategy that helps you learn the essentials you need for your goal. And above all that, a cool guy who you can talk to understands and listens. Recommend with all my heart!
