★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hot chocolate with rum. The place was pretty crowded for a Tuesday afternoon, almost all tables were occupied or reserved, which seemed overwhelming for the staff, we waited for forever for the bill and finally left leaving the cash on the table.

The food is plain but eatable.
The service was nice and swift.
We had to go to the theatre, so we were in hurry.
After we asked if it was possible to serve us as quickly as possible, they did.

It can get a little loud during busy hours but that goes to show just how worth it this place is.
Food was very tasty; we had the burger, spare ribs, fish & chips and satee. Would try / order everything again.
The staff was super friendly and our food came a lot quicker than I anticipated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a fantastic place with friendly staff. It is a great area if the main part of Amsterdam is getting a bit much.
There is a Coffeeshop a couple of doors down but you do not see the same "clientele" as you would on the main strip of Amsterdam City.
There are 16 Special Beers on Draft with many of them local.
There is a Metro Station 50 yards from here if you decide to venture back into the main city.
The Nationale Opera & Ballet building is directly opposite also if you prefer the cultural side of Amsterdam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Eetcafe Blauwbrug is a great little restaurant with a full menu and full bar. I stopped in for dinner with Ox Tail soup, and veal liver and it was delicious. There is plenty of outside patio seating and a beautiful interior, I loved the lighting. It is a cozy date type of restaurant and the prices are not high either. The wait staff was very nice and greeted me when I came in and offered my choice of seating. I will be back here again.
