Eetcafé Rijswijk
De Halve Maan is al vele tientallen jaren een begrip in Rijswijk en omstreken. Sinds 1976 wordt het Eetcafé gerund door horecafamilie Ballemaker. Bezoekers komen graag naar de Halve Maan om iets te drinken, te eten of een partijtje te darten.
Sinds 2006 is De Halve Maan gevestigd in het Sir Winston Leisure Center. Een moderne locatie, maar nog steeds met het sfeervolle interieur van weleer. Er is een grote, gezellige bar, met zitjes eromheen, maar door de uitgekiende indeling is het eetgedeelte daarvan gescheiden. Antiek en curiosa geven een extra element aan het interieur. De dartbanen zijn er nog, en er wordt nog steeds met plezier gedart. Ook vele bedrijven in de omgeving weten hun weg naar De Halve Maan te vinden voor een lunch, borrel of diner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place for drinks after work. You can also have dinner here, throw some darts, but I usually stick to having a drink and some nice Dutch treats (bittergarnituur) which is of good quality. They serve some funky spiced gin and tonic as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ate spareribs with a group of 10 here. Pretty good spareribs in 3+1 flavors. Sweet, BBQ and spicy. + Every month extra one, this month wat cola flavor. Which tasted better than it sounds. Nice and friendly service and good prices. Restaurant isn't too fancy so it's great for team outing activities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect bar to visit for an afterwork drink, the staff is really nice and there are also dart boards for guest to play. Snacks and food there are also good. The location is wonderful, it is right across from the rijswijk train station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice spot that was close to our hotel. We stopped in for the all you can eat spare ribs and we were not disappointed. I’m not sure if the ribs we oven or fire cooked (though they definitely looked fire cooked), but they were definitely well cooked and extremely tender. There were four possible sauces: bbq, sweet, spicy, and piri piri. You can choose a different sauce each round which gives you the opportunity to try each of them. We tried all except the piri piri. Each was good.
The service was great and the staff was very friendly. The was plenty of outdoor seating, though we chose to sit inside. The decor was fine - not fancy but nice. The bathroom was very clean. We would definitely eat there again.
