★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had great company of pigeons and rats. Fries were sitting there all day. Customer service was awful, they got angry at us for asking takeaway and eating it just outside. Smoking over the food. Wouldn't go back.

We were the only costumers, asking a simple question results in a scolding from an old lady about how you should behave yourself at your age.
Fries would have been tasteful if 20 kg of salt had not been thrown on it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to come here for a few years when they opened in 97, before I moved to Asia. Whenever I'm in Amsterdam I try to drop by for their "patat stoofvlees", really delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's hard to rate this place in my opinion. Because they're fries are really good when they make them good. But I have also had some bad fries as well.
Same goes with the staff. There where times where they where nice to me. And other times a bit less.
Also the cleanness of the place gets me concerned.
I have been here multiple times. But I don't find the food consistent enough to give a good rating. Customer service is really important as well. But that is also lacking here. I know that the staff has it really busy at some times. But still... The food and Customer service needs to be good at least most of the time for a good review.
I rather wait longer for good fries. Then wait less and get bad fries.
I live close and I do like what they have when they do it good. But if it will let me down a few more times, I won't come back anymore.
I will keep this review updated with my experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden treasure next to the highway (reachable by bike and on food) serving really generous portion of amazing fries. Stoofvlees is highly recommended with ‘bal met pinda’ as nice second.
