Stood guard at Ambassadors residence when Vice President Hubert Humphrey visited. Had a bomb go off at back of library, ground floor. 5000 strong demonstration 2 days before VP arrived. Enjoyed working with Secret Service.
M	Marti Masters on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am an American citizen. When I called the embassy, a Dutch woman answered and instead of providing assistance, she completely did not understand my question. When I asked to speak to an American official, she hung up the phone. So, I called back, an American answered, and he assisted me. Per his instructions, I sent email. The reply was completely off-topic and did not answer my question at all. This morning, I will call back and see what happens. I have dealt with the American Embassy in Helsinki (really good service), the Finnish Consulate in New York (excellent service), the Japanese Consulate in Detroit (very good service), and the U.S. Passport Agency in Chicago (nice people). So, really, what is wrong with the U.S. Consulate in the Netherlands? Do they have Dutch people reading email who can't understand English or what? NOT RECOMMENDED: CALL ANOTHER CONSULATE IF YOU ARE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN!!!ä

It looks as inviting as a maximum security prison, and the police were summoned when I tried to take a photograph of the US flag and emblem. The Dutch police were great though!

Fantastic to meet the US embassador Pete Hoekstra in person and to be around such important individuals and personalities. The building is very well designed with a green park and even a lake.

Sadly the answers you get to your emails say refer to their website, and, when you do that you go round and round in circles. If you phone any number mentioned on the website you get told this number is only for emergencies go see the website. So the website tells me i need to pay a filing fee in cash to the embassy in the Netherlands, that's clear right? But you need an appointment to do that and to get that you need to contact the embassy, when you do that you get sent back to the website, round and round and round.... So frustrating!! So unclear!!! Someone please help!!!
