Fast Forward Freight cares about Corporate Social Responsibility and is committed to leading the industry in minimizing the impact of its activities on the environment. Therefore we will measure our influence on the environment and set targets for continuous improvement. Besides this, Fast Forward Freight will encourage the adoption of similar principles by its suppliers. We will also comply with all relevant environmental legislation.

Currently we are in the middle of achieving the ISO 14001:2004 certificate. The ISO 14001-standard focuses on environmental management systems. With this certificate we can show that Fast Forward Freight uses a system, that is integrated within the company, which measures and improves the environmental impact.

In the previous year we have engaged in a Gold Standard Verified Emission Reduction project. It is verified for its CO2 reducing effect and widely acknowledged among climate experts and NGO’s. Fast Forward Freight participates in a project where energy efficient stoves are installed to reduce the deforestation, improve health and create jobs in Ghana. As a result this reduces the CO2 emission in Ghana. On the other hand it equalizes CO2 emissions at our offices in The Netherlands. Since the beginning of 2014, we have chosen to only purchase green energy from our supplier for our headquarters at Schiphol.
