★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was amazing! Very pleasantly surprised by the extra starters and desserts. Must go in Rotterdam. Been there twice, the second time sit for 5 hours, was bit tired towards the end. Great place to have long quality conversations over a nice meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved our birthday dinner at FG. It is definitely a very innovative, interactive dining experience. At first they come out and let you pick 5 different types of salt from a salt box and then you pick 5 different types of raw pepper from around the world. You get 3 snacks before you begin your 9 course menu. I loved how you could pick half pours of wine with each pairings. I had a veggie tasting menu and it was good but I felt it was slightly like an afterthought. A lot of artichoke and a lot of stuff that seems like it’s already done before so I did feel a little jipped. My BF had a normal tasting menu and for all his courses it always was more thoughtout and elaborate and innovative. I was very happy to celebrate my birthday there. The staff is attentive and nice which is what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. The after dinner coffee and tea cart features innovative chocolate and pastries but I was so full by the end. I also got some goodies to go home with. It was a great experience but slightly disappointed with the veggie menu for the price you pay. Francois the chef also came out and served everyone a course and that seems like a very nice gesture.

I liked the gestures during the dish.
As for the food- 10/10, it was all very precise, colorfull and tasty.
You can choose between the tasting menu or the a la carte.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the 7 course tasting menu and the food and accompanying wine were absolutely amazing. The only reason I cannot award 5 stars is that the dinner service dragged on too long. I arrived at 19:15 and the last course was served at 01:15.... I enjoy eating in a relaxed unhurried way, but this dinner was going on far too long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two Michelin star restaurant. Flavors meet your expectations you may have for fine dining experience. But to be honest, service was little below the Michelin standard. Very basic I must say. Nothing relatable personal level-wise. The manager guy didn't even ask how was the food though I left almost all the dessert. Please at least pay attention to foreign customers as much as you do for Dutch customers.

The dishes are well flavored with plenty of taste layers to make them interesting and extremely tasty. The presentation of the dishes are what you want to see in contemporary places like this.
The dishes show a lot of skill and attention to detail. Plenty of textures in every dish.
Service is prompt and friendly. And knowledgeable.
Ergo: a great place to spend a long time enjoying outstanding food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ FG was one of the more unique and memorable culinary experiences of my life. The food was impeccable, the wine paired perfectly and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. I will most certainly come here many times in the years to come for as many special occasions as my wallet will allow!
