★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here with a chain that had to be put back on the gears. The man in the shop, presumably Jeroen, said it was gonna take one day. This is unusually long to begin with, but whatever, the weather was nice and I didn't mind walking home and returning the following day.
Two days later, having heard nothing, I made a phone call to the shop around noon. The man, again presumably Jeroen, said he had been busy and said the bike might be done today around six PM. Not being able to miss my bike this long, and not agreeing with a three to four day waiting time for a simple loose chain (compared to a mere one or two hours in any other bycicle reparation establishment), I said I would pick up the bike later this afternoon.
Upon arrival, the shopkeeper had the audacity to try and charge me 2,50 "storage costs" (stallingskosten, as he put it), for having my bike in his shop and ultimately not making any money off it. I found this preposterous. My exact response, in colloquial Dutch, was "ben je helemaal betoeterd?" If he wouldn't have needed several days to finish what is likely the most basic job in bicycle reparation he wouldn't have had my bike in his shop for all this time. Also, it was him that said it was gonna take one day to solve this utterly basic issue. If he would've said three or four days, I would've taken my bike somewhere else straight away. Also, if he would've mentioned the storage costs on the phone when I announced I was gonna pick the bike up, I would've paid them. Trying to make me pay (however low the sum, it became a matter of principle to me) was regarded by me to be beyond any rational thinking and common sense.
In short: slow, dishonest, lax and brazen. Don't go to this guy.

I was satisfied with the repairs and can only recommend this place if you need work done on your bicycle! It is not the closest place to my house, but I will be coming here from now on, it is worth the extra distance.

Very honest, he not only told me that the problem could be fixed easily (as he did, at a lower and fair price), without replacing any part, he kindly checked all other small issues too. I strongly recommend his store! just go and check the problem and price and you'll get the best service
