β β β β β Horrible behavior by some assistants in emergency room (e.g., rolling the eyes when you ask them for info), as well as of some nurses who poorly and with lack of empathy treats the patients. In this hospital I always have a feeling of being unwelcome, a feeling of being afraid to ask for information. I will file the compliant because this is getting out of the control.

β β β β β I have been waiting a very long time to see a specialist appointment in Gastroenterology, and been dealing with severe gut problems for many years.
My doctor, was very rude and claiming that I was making up the problems in my head. And really has no clue about my problem and/or doesnβt βbelieve it existsβ. To be told this and laughed at when suffering everyday for years itβs appauling to be treated like this.
He agreed to do some tests for me ONLY to prove me wrong. This conversation and being treated this badly has had a big impact on my stress levels and I just cant believe that a doctor would treat someone in need like this.
Today I had a test appointment, and travelled from Amsterdam to Rotterdam at 6am. Because I brushed my teeth they refused to do the hydrogen breath test, they are the only place that apparently has this βruleβ of no brushing teeth. When on a medically published study you are meant to brush your teeth the morning of the test. Complete joke and treated rudely once again. I would avoid this hospital.

β β β β β Unorganized.
They planned appointments/change them/cancel them without patients consultation.
If you prefer a woman/men doctor they donβt take into account.
Most of the assistants are very rude (maybe because Im not dutch).
And most of the people there have a hard time communicating in English which is a shame for such a field, where one of the priorities should be for the patient to understand whatβs going to be done to her/him. And a shame for such a big international city. On a medical field, were everything is in english.

β β β β β TRY TO AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL TIMES IF YOU CAN
They lose equipment. Don't communicate properly. They forget medicine. They forget to turn on your IV drip. They answer the bell in 20-30 min. They can't place a stomach siphon/feeding tube without having to redo it 2 or 3 times. They don't properly secure the stomach siphon bag so it falls off the bed and pulls the probe out.
They sent a confused terminal cancer patient home (after only hearing about his cancer 3 days before) after an operation with minimal instructions for self care, on a friday evening with no proper doctors to call to during the weekend.
There is more. It's insane.

β β β β β Visited for wifeβs pregnancy. Doctors and most of the staff were very good especially the midwives Sangeeta and gise . They talked my wife through the delivery. Our low rating is because of One night nurse on the day after the labour who was terrible. When my wife fainted in the hospital bathroom, didnβt even allow her time to sit as she was in a hurry. Told my wife when she buzzed for help that too a couple of hours after delivery that she should take my help both for taking care of the baby and/or going to the hospital. We had not slept the night before thanks to some bleeding but spent the night figuring out how to lift our newborn (this is our first baby) and helping my wife to the loo. I donβt know why such People become nurses.

β β β β β I am having a terrible experience. I forwarded the results of my functional Ecocolordoppler in which it states that i have severe nutcracker syndrome, mals compression, and may-thurner syndrome. i am in severe pain, the emergency can't do anything, and my appointment with the MDL is the 23 of February. I have been calling multiple times telling that i am in severe pain, i have been telling the secretary that i don't wanna come to chit chat about my symptoms, i want a solution. I want a practical appointment, my symptoms are getting worse and i am on oxycodone. I will contact a lawyer for medical malpractice. Moreover calling you over the phone is more traumatic than death. Your stuff is useless. Nobody knows anything, and u are not helping at all. Instead my illnesses are getting worse due to your lack of understanding.
