★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An interesting museum, especially (obviously) of you're interested in ships and/or the nautic world. The museum is concentrated on traditional Frysian ships. It's also much bigger then I expected it to be.
The service is splendid. They warmed my formula for my baby. And the first cup of tea/coffee is free of charge in the small restaurant. They don't sell lunch, but the museum is located right in the centre of Sneek.
The museum is wheelchair / pram accessible. There's also a wonderful, spacious section for children. They will have a blast trying things out and learning at the same time. I will return here when my kid is old enough.

Also (of course) ice skating, life in early 20th century, and more.
I spent two hours there, and managed to see about half.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting place with many artefacts, pictures and subjects. Half of the museum is dedicated to naval history and the other half to life of the people in
Friesland (skating, architecture, fashion). Children appreciated the special room for kids, how the pulleys work or how difficult is to pull a ship. Some drawings are available. And we ended up with gratis cup of coffee / tea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice museum with a lot exhibits, clean and neat. It’s a good place for adults and junior kids who are interested in Friesland sailing history, but a little bit boring for young kids.
