β β β β β Jan is the best GP I've ever had. He is personally involved, easy to reach, quick to respond, clear in his communication and available when you need him. He knows the best hospitals and specialists to transfer to and he helps to make things uncomplicated. Jan is considerate with his patients and walks alongside them to do whats best for them. In my experience this modern practice was always available by phone and the assistant was very qualified.

β β β β β They're not accepting patients but get yourself on the wait list. The staff is great. Doctor is responsive to email questions. I have the smallest veins ever and the nurses can draw blood without any bruising or pain! Make an appointment online to avoid waiting although they do accept walk-ins.

β β β β β Completely lost my trust in this place. The way the male doctor that treated me view female bodies, communicate about them and his lack of understanding the care they need is beyond unacceptabele for anyone in this setting. The lack of knowledge as well as respect baffles me (based on multiple visits for various reasons). This doctor endangered my physical as well as my mental health, which needless to say is not a review I would like to leave for any doctor.

β β β β β I really appreciate this practice and this is my best experience with doctors. A doctor is clear, knowledgeable, explains the issue well, assistants are also very effective and nice. In multiple occasions, they also explained how one or another medical issue works in the Netherlands which is very helpful for an expat. In addition, it is very convenient for a working person because it is easy to get appointments early as well as responses to small questions by email. Great work!

β β β β β I do not recommend this GP. I took my 6-month old son to this GP for a wellness visit and the GP was dismissive of my questions. Furthermore, he did not take the time to do a basic exam of my son. I had to prompt him to examine his hips, heart, ears, eyes, etc. -- all of which should be routine in a babies' wellness visit. I asked about an issue that he dismissed and at his next GGD appointment they said it was serious and required an apt at the hospital with a specialist.

β β β β β After being a patient many years, my experience with GP on the Herengracht is good.
Doctor Jan is attentive, efficient and sharp with his diagnosis.
The nurse who does the blood tests is clearly a pro.
The assistant is quick with replying emails or making appointments and the place is always clean and organized.
