★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Op 18 augustus jl., dinsdag, bezochten we het optreden van het Cor Bakker trio met twee jazz-zangeressen in de tuin van het Hilton hotel.
Er werd aangekondigd dat deze avond gevuld zou worden met Cole Porter songs. Dat sprak ons zeer aan en wij bestelden de tickets. En ondanks dat het optreden best de moeite waard was waren wij ernstig teleurgesteld dat wij geen enkele Cole Porter song hebben gehoord! Voor ons onbegrijpelijk want zelfs achterop het programmaatje dat we bij de ingang kregen uitgereikt staat het vermeld.
Ik weet niet wat u hier verder mee moet, maar ik wilde dit toch even kwijt.
On August 18, Tuesday, we visited the Cor Bakker trio with two jazz singers in the garden of the Hilton hotel.
It was announced that this evening would be filled with Cole Porter songs. That appealed to us a lot and we ordered the tickets. And despite the fact that the performance was quite worthwhile, we were seriously disappointed that we did not hear a single Cole Porter song! Incomprehensible to us because even on the back of the program that we were handed out at the entrance, it is mentioned.
I don't know what else to do with this, but I just wanted to say this.
