★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An oasis in the middle of the gorgeous Vondelpark, where you can grab a bite or drink something sitting on a fantastic huge terrace close to the water. It's a self service but well organized and quite fast. The personnel are super friendly (I've witnessed one of them doing his utmost best in helping 2 Spanish tourists that could not understand 2 words in English and finally succeeding). Prices are also ok.

However, three stars because of the terrible service. Don’t be surprised if you have to wait for at least 30 minutes in their “self service” line. There is only one register and that person also needs to take care of hot drinks... Toilet is 50 cents and at some times very dirty.
Prices are good and staff friendly.

Located in the heart of the vondelpark you can always be sure to find a warming cup of tea or coffee to keep you going while you people/dog watch with some affordable food!
Highly recommended for any visitors in Amsterdam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautifully located in Vondelpark in Amsterdam. Surrounded by lush green views and a pond/ canal (We visited in springtime). Importantly, a big play area for kids with plenty outdoor seating. There was also a bouncy castle and other little rides for small kids for which you can buy tickets and use coins respectively. Pay and use Toilet was there (around 50 cents), so carry change. Food was ok but the view and convenience compensated for average tasting food. There was also facility to heat baby food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We absolutely LOVE this place. We visit Vondelpark Park on our holiday to Amsterdam every year and our visit is never complete without a lovely afternoon spent at this cafe!
The atmosphere is lovely, views are awesome, there is plenty of seating and the food is delicious and very cheap!
Our first ever visit to Amsterdam was child free and we found this cafe whilst walking from our hotel to the city centre, we stopped here and looked at all the families enjoying themselves, we looked at the playpark and wildlife and knew that we'd be coming back next time with our son. And we have every year ever since. So this place is very special to us.
The playpark is awesome, lots of different things to do and last summer there were crafts, bouncy castles and rides!
We can sit here for hours and not be bored.
There are restrooms which you can use for a fee, they are very clean and well stocked!
This is a great place for families or couples and we would strongly recommend it to anyone. We will be back this August and cannot wait!!
