Op het mooiste hoekje van Amsterdam Zuid vind je Restaurant Visque. En vis, daar gaat het om bij ons. Daarom hanteren wij geen vaste kaart, maar zoeken wij elke dag de meest verse en smaakvolle producten uit. Chef Menno houdt van de simpele Franse keuken, maar geeft daar graag zijn eigen draai aan. Op de kaart staan klassiekers als coquilles, Hollandse garnalen, sliptong of onze beroemde Tuna Wellington.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible. All the gear and no idea, comes to mind. Catch of the day should be their staple. Overcooked fish and lacking any culinary imagination. Wine list absolute rip off. Bottles retailing normally for under €15, sold for €70+. I understand there is restaurant markup but this is outrageous. What a shame. All that promise and no flair.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This new place is such a great addition to the neighbourhood! Such a wonderful cosy feeling, fabulous food (the Tuna Wellington is a must!) and we sat up at the Oyster Bar where we were served by Mark who gave us exceptional service. Thanks for a great night!

If you order the right dishes you can have an amazing night here: Tuna Wellington, Calamari and Sardines + oyster platter are delightful, while some other dishes are a bit underwhelming. The dishes could also be made a bit more for sharing. Overall very lovely though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mediocre and unimaginative food, given the price. Adapted to the local Dutch taste, not fresh seafood. Perhaps it was busy, but we only had 1.5 hours to have our dinner and were asked to move around a few times in the restaurant to make space for others. Not terrible but better options elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and cozy restaurant. Food is delicious - price is reasonable for fish dishes. Nice wine menu. Staff is very friendly. Kitchen is kind of open, so you may be able to see how the chef prepares and decorates your food. Location of the place is good too, easily accessible by public transportation.
1 minus point because my jacket wasn’t taken at the door and I realized everyone’s jacket was..
