Choose between a sauna of a room with zero airflow (no aircon or ventilation) or being eaten alive by mosquitoes because the one window you need to open to survive the oppressive room heat has no netting. No fridge or other basic amenities such as toothbrush, comb, kettle. Got no sleep thanks to the oppressive heat and no way to combat it without being a meal for ravenous flying insects. Worst hotel I've stayed in for a long time. Avoid.

First off we had 2 rooms booked and our guest is handicapped, and they had no record of his room. We did not have rooms next to each other and they put him 300 steps from reception area. There was no porter for helping with luggage and the cart was not operating correctly and our handicapped guest hurt his hand because it did not steer correctly. There is no phone, no refrigerator in our rooms, no room service. Then we go to dinner in Magnolia's and the table we sat down in was not set up. When my husband arrived we had a voucher for appetizers so we ordered them and drinks. Drinks were brought and appetizer was brought but still no napkins, silverware, so my husband asked why? The response we got was "Did you have a reservation?". Tell me how do you make a reservation with no phone, you have purchased your meal in advance at reception, so that should have been reservation automatically or reception should have mentioned. Food was terrible!! Most of my food was burnt. Chicken satay with peanut sauce was terrible. Peanut sauce was burnt and tasted nothing of peanuts and because chef didn't place sauce on the side as a dipping sauce my chicken was ruined as well. Our friend will eat anything and he couldn't eat it saying "its ruined". I mentioned this to the waitress and she came back with "Chef said that's the way it is and would I like a cup of coffee?". Also, the waitress said she doesn't like it! Lastly, had creme brulee and we have travelled the world and never have I had creme brulee with the sugar burnt and served with sour mango ice cream, sweet and sour everyone knows how that works! Needless to say we did not stay for our booked second night and moving to another hotel. One other comment we had a neighbor who was complaining as well she had been hit by a bicycle and no one has ever come to change or clean her room. Sad thing since no phones I'm sure injured had to walk to front reception because there are no phones in the room.

It was about 20 minutes from Amsterdam by bus. A good location if you don't want to stay in the city. The young receptionist was kinda snobby and not very helpful. The older one was nicer though. maybe because we aren't golfers. It's seems to be a country club. The room was just ok. An empty space where the microwave and mini fridge should have been.

Outdated. Expensive for what they offer. No tea making facilities in the room, no iron, hair dryer did not work, safe was out of order, room a long way from entrance/exit. Breakfast €12.95 so didn't eat there.

Good hotel to spend few days with friend , not far from Amsterdam. The breakfast is perfect! Rooms are clean and quite. We went there just after christmas and it was great! 20min by bus if you want to go to Amsterdam Central. Just think to buy the day pass (10€) in the bus. We'll return soon.

Just for the record, I only used the hotel service and didn't golf. This is not the fault of the hotel in any way. I'm simply a defective human that can't properly swing with my hips if my life depended on it. The Hampshire Golfhotel is of a peculiar shape. That being said, it wasn't unpleasant. The circular shape was kind of fun, though it did cause me to have a long path to my room. The hotel itself came off as fairly snazzy in a very 80's way. The insides are painted a clean white and the staircase that accents the main area promises luxury and comfort. I didn't look around the outside too much, as my arrival was a consequence of poor GPS signal rather than a love for golf. I lugged my luggage to my room and opened the door with a physical key. As in a key shaped piece of metal, which I'm very unfamiliar with. Looking into my room my first impression was that it was pretty nice. I flicked on the lights to find that they were of the variety that have a delayed brightness that flickers on and gives temporary blindness to wary travelers. There was a huge window on the far end of the fairly large room and two (twin?) beds pushed together in the corner. There was also a electric kettle and tea/coffee sans decaf, to my great dissatisfaction. Also, the still wet inside of the kettle looked a bit like it was worn or molding. I didn't bother to figure out which. It was late, and no decaf meant I wasn't going to enjoy a hot drink before bed. A minor gripe, but still. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise. White white tile was all over the medium sized room, and against the wall was a very clean looking bathtub. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I certainly like a hot bath after a cold motorcycle ride. I promise you, the hot bath melted away a lot of the anxiety that resulted from my navigational woes. Early in the morning I packed up and headed to breakfast, which isn't included in the cost of the room. That's okay, because the breakfast well exceeded that of the continental varieties of breakfast that are so common in the United States. Instead, there was a breakfast drink bar (malfunctioning) and some very delicious looking yogurts, breads, fruits, and cheese. The cook made me an everything omelet, which wasn't quite worth the 15€ price tag of breakfast but was certainly delicious. After I was finished eating, I made my way downstairs to collect my deposit fee, check out, and be on my way. Overall it was a good experience. I would definitely stay there again for the price I paid. It's probably a better stay for someone that actually golfs rather than a lost American motorcyclist, but I definitely had some good sleep in my huge room at the Golfhotel. Thank you for providing this anxious and lost traveller with a reasonably priced room, Hampshire Golfhotel. I wish you the best of luck in your golf/hotel endeavors!

Clean rooms, helpful staff. We checked in at about 9pm with no problems. Some of the outdoor areas are a bit messy. (Quite a lot of cigarette ends outside my room) i was given one of the updated rooms for my stay this time. Alot better than the older ones but even so if you get an older room for the money it is very good value. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Value for money and location is great

Big room but old. Nice surroundings. Organic toiletries. Personally I disgust being teased. After having paid a "full price" for the room we were still charged with the tourist taxes. That's almost the difference with the next grade hotel, which I would have gladly paid for, especially for being treated respectfully and informed properly. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I really have the highest regard for those "old concepts" such as respect and seriousness. My bad probably.
