★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het Hertenkampje is gesitueerd aan de rand van het Asserbos en op loopafstand van het stadscentrum. De naam zegt eigenlijk alles al: een glooiend grasland met wat bebouwing erop voor de herten. Een leuke plek om je oude brood heen te brengen. De dieren zijn zo tam dat ze uit je handen eten. Ook leuk voor kleine kinderen.
Het Hertenkampje is situated on the edge of the Asserbos and within walking distance of the city center. The name actually says it all: a sloping grassland with some buildings on it for the deer. A nice place to take your old bread. The animals are so tame that they eat from your hands. Also nice for small children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De herten voeren werkt vrij ontspannend. En wat zo leuk is, is het feit dat ze mijn auto herkennen aan het geluid dat die maakt. Ze komen naar het hek toe....daar waar ik parkeer.
Feeding the deer is quite relaxing. And what is so nice is the fact that they recognize my car by the sound it makes. They come to the fence .... where I park.

On days where they are loaded with curiosity they come close to the fence.
The camp is close to the Asserbos and is situated on the road to the Bonte Wever.
You can visit the place anytime.
