★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So thankful to have been recommended this hairdressers after recently moving to Amsterdam. The space is beautiful, staff are friendly and attentive but most of all, Ferry is a master colourist- couldn't be happier with my hair! Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a cool salon with a chic/modern atmosphere to it, definitely gives you the treat-yourself-feeling.
Highlights look good, cut was good (styling after I’ve had better).
A few things I wasn’t too happy with:
I felt like she was constantly upselling stuff without being transparent (you want the highlights a little more in that tone? - adds 30€ to the bill, olaplex was added without asking pre), they do give you an estimate before they start, but I think it’s off putting that they just put them on there to hike up the price. Then during the job, what products I use and that their brand would be better, as well as trying to upsell a styling. I happily spend some money on my hair, otherwise I wouldn’t go to a salon like this. But this just creates an unpleasant atmosphere.

i've been a few times and spent a fortune as i have long hair, but the last time i went i explained to the hairdresser exactly what i wanted done with the colour and when i questioned it during the process she chuckled at my questions not really giving me any response to them.
She has a short brown bob and is just too cool for school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted my bangs cut so I made an appointment the day before. When I arrived my appointment wasn't in their system, so I got assigned to some random woman who happened to be free. She had absolutely no idea what she was doing and didn't bother to ask me what I wanted, so I spent the whole session doing damage control.
It turned out as probably my worst haircut yet. No-one asked me if I was happy with the result, so I just paid and left, not wanting to be rude. Now I regret not having been more explicit, but the super pretentious vibe of the place don't exactly facilitate honest communication.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just today had a haircut by Joost and it is perfect! I am not an easy client (I have super long and curly and thick hair) and Joost is literally the second person in my life who can deal with it so well.
Moreover, he is just a very lovely and nice person and is always in good mood! I strongly recommend this place <3

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have seldom experienced such poor service and client belittling. First of all, the receptionist was not wearing a facemask. I have booked an appointment 6 weeks in advance (Covid times, so I understand) - I show up and get told that my hairdresser fell out (I didn't book for a specific hairdresser), "we tried to reach you" is all I got. I have not received any phone calls nor emails. After reading out the number that was called (which was the wrong number) I was made to feel as though it was my own fault that I did not pick up/that I filled in the wrong number online. After asking why I didnt receive an email, the only answer I got was that I am not in the system. At no point did I receive an apology, on the contrary, I left the shop feeling like I either wanted to shout or cry. It has been a very long time since a business made me, as a client, so inferior and disrespected. Very disappointing. Upon returning home, I checked my confirmation email - my (correct!) phone number and email were right there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love het Haartheater! It’s a great experience from the moment you step in and are welcomed by the wonderful receptionists, to the open and light salon space, and of course the care and expertise from the stylists. I got a beautiful color and cut by Savannah, thanks again! :-)
