★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had one of the worst haircuts of my life there.
Yes, price wise it is very cheap for a city like Amsterdam. However, the final result is really bad and even worse, in the end the hairdresser did not clean the hair that was left on my face and neck. So yeah, I took a walk of shame full of hair around the city until I arrived home.
In short, it is not worth it, of course you will pay a low price, but you will have a bad hair cut for at least one month.

Very good on cutting fade and normal mens hair. ???????????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great women's haircut, washed, conditioned, and dried for 17 euros. They have student discounts! Only took about an hour; I was expecting longer as the student's work is checked by instructors.
*I'm working on my Dutch, but it has a long way too go, so the appointment was entirely in English, which wasn't a problem

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a men's cut done by Britt. It was great - I have paid 50 euros for the same haircut! This cost ~16 euros. Okay, it is not like walking into a Toni & Guy, where you are treated like a VIP, but the end product is fantastic. I would highly recommend it.

Nice welcome by the teachers of the excellent hair school academic.
A very kind student hairdresser took very good care of me, she did well the hair cut.
I will surely come back when my hair is well grown.

As there are many students who are practicing here, it might be that quality is not as consistent as in other places.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a regular visitor and really love the friendly students. They do an amazing job and give their best. Special thanks to Quinty and Storm for an amazing haircut. It cost around 15€ for an haircut with headwash which is the cheapest in Amsterdam.
