Very professional company. We have collaborated with Wendy and her team many times and the result has always been perfect. Customers have been very satisfied. Totally recommendable.

After my rental experience with Wendy Lokken last year, I would not recommend renting through Wendy Lokken. My experience occurred when Wendy Lokken contacted me to let me know about a friend of hers who had a self-contained room in her house on Anna Paulownastraat, Den Haag that her friend was hoping to rent out. Unfortunately for me I was stuck in Holland due to the pandemic and desperate to find accommodation in this every changing, difficult period. I decided to rent her friends room, paid the rent, and a deposit (as expected) and moved in.  After moving out due to several issues living there, her friend refused to refund my deposit(!), declaring ludicrous reasons of my friend breaking her front door and tearing her hall mat, and when asked for invoice receipts to be provided for these apparent door and rug damages her friend has provided nothing! During this whole period, Wendy never communicated with me (even after being cc in emails), or tried to help, knowing fine well her friend kept my deposit unlawfully. Noting Wendy Lokken used to be a lawyer. Then only in Dec 2020 (2.5 months after) did she get in touch to tell she had some mail for me and wanted to return this. We agreed a date / time to meet.  Wendy never showed(!), no message from Wendy advising she could not make the meeting, no communication until I contacted her as I waited, and her reason (with no apology) given was highly unlikely. So, from all my experiences I do not have faith, confidence or trust in renting (or leasing) accommodation through Wendy. I believe from my experience, emails, and WhatsApp messages etc., she is unprofessional, untrustworthy and lacks the basic human decency. Wendy’s lack of communication and silence on various occasions was bizarre, and not what a regular, civilised person would do. It made me wonder if this has happened to any other expats / foreigners. I have no idea what she would have received (if anything) as commission for her friend’s rental but I hope it was worth it! I am disgusted, and I would not recommend using Hosted by Wendy (or AirBnB hosted by Wendy Lokken) due to all my very valid reasons, and if Wendy ever tells you about a friend who has a self-contained attic room on Anna Paulownastraat, Den Haag please remember my story, you have been informed.
