The mildest spicy soup is still quite spicy so make sure to order a non-spicy soup with it. Wasn't expecting much given how many tourist traps appeared to be in the surrounding area but this place was great!

This place does not adapt to you, you have to adapt to it. Visit this if you are really looking for authentic szechuan chinese food, not some cheap basic stir fried noodles.

If you are not sure how spicy you could handle, I would recommend mild spicy. The wagyu beef was as tasty as that at Rotterdam shop! They have a guide at the sauce bar to teach you how to make dipping sauce. It was really helpful! Would come back again
V	Valentina on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely delightful. As a total hot pot fan, I really enjoyed my dining experience at Hot&Hot. Everything from the Sichuan soup base flavours to The many options of ingredients to add to our pot, it was the full experience. We ordered the half Sichuan hot soup and half mushroom soup which came with a nice simple drinking soup - a definite relief from those Sichuan peppers. The service from the staff was great, everyone was super friendly and so willing to help the patrons that had never experienced hot pot before. We chose a selection of dishes and our faves were the sliced fish (must have), chicken, prawns, beef tongue, sweet potato noodles. You also definitely need some veggies or mushrooms to balance off the rich flavours. The restaurant is very clean and tables are also well spaced. They also have approved to save your outfits from the chili soup splash back stains - great addition and much appreciated. Highly recommend it, especially if you enjoy a good hot pot session or if you're looking for something different.

It was very easy to make a reservation on their website, we we‘re looking forward to the evening and have been very excited. The staff was very friendly but a little bit hard to communicate because of the language. Still we got help everytime we needed it. You can choose your broth, whether you like it mild or spicy. The only not-spicy broth is a mushroom broth and a tomato-broth. The rest is very spicy. For me a tomato-broth is not very fitting, so i tried the mushroom one and a ‚mild’ sichuan broth. In my order I left the note to please make a broth which is not so spicy. But yea.. it was veryyyy spicy and my tongue was tickling even though I eat spicy food on my daily basis. It would be nice if you could chose more from not-spicy broth. I really enjoyed the evening and had a nice Dinner-experience but I don‘t know if I would prefer it to other food / restaurants and would come back soon. When you are in Amsterdam yoh should really try it and make your own decision, it is definitely delicious! :-)

Because of this restaurant, I'll try hot pot anywhere I go in the world! A must try in Amsterdam! The service from Liu is fantastic!
