★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very local, very pleasant spot to have a beer and relax after visiting the Amsterdam forest. Has a long history and serves very Dutch food, but they've added a vegetarian burger to the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely slow. We had to flag down a waiter to ask for menus, then again to ask to order, then again to ask where our food was. While I want to be sympathetic towards horeca post-covid, waiting 1.5 hours for a chicken sate and ribs is ridiculous…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This used to be one of our favourite cafes to eat at for years. Unfortunately, they have just changed the entire menu and not for the better. The prices have increased marginally and the portions have reduced, which would have been fine if the quality and flavour of the food had been maintained. They discontinued the best cut of steak from the menu, theres no complimentary bread at the beginning, no fries or salad come with the mains. Everything is additional cost, smaller portion and not delicious. Too much of a change for regular customers, especially me. On the plus side, environment is still great for summer with indoor and outdoor seating and most tables were full. I hope they go back to their original menu and quality, even if prices are higher!
