Een modern en sfeervol hotel gelegen aan de havenboulevard met uitzicht op de jachthaven. Door veel bedrijvigheid op, aan en in het water is er geen dag hetzelfde in ons hotel.
Op loopafstand vindt u het centrum van Delfzijl, het strand en het bus- en treinstation wat gelegenheid biedt voor diverse uitstapjes.
Hotel de Boegschroef bevindt zicht op een historische locatie. In de vorige eeuwen domineerden hier vooral grote zeilschepen, die na zeereizen van enige maanden, ladingen vooral vanuit Zuid-Amerika aanvoerden. De imposante windjammers maakten na verloop van tijd plaats voor stoom- en motorschepen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel staff were outstanding in ensuring a nice stay. I was only visiting for a day as part of a multi leg trip and they were able to accommodate my laundry needs very quickly. The restaurant and bar were also quite good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ scampis for 2 people served in one plate, no separate plates to put the rests from the scampis... they had literally no taste at all... like, none.
It was meant to be garlic scampis... but it was just plain scampis.
I want to also mention the fact that although there was almost nobody in the restaurant, it took the kitchen over 50 minutes to serve us.
I asked for a ribeye, medium, it was a bleached non-grilled piece of meat that was blue inside... I was very hungry and did not want to start a discussion so did not complain.
over all it was a bad experience and I recommend people to sleep at the hotel as it is a nice stay but it is not worth going the restaurant. Never again.
Positive is the people serving are friendly. I've got to leave that to them.
EDIT: The staff made amends and understood when we paid that itwas not ok, so they did NOT make us pay the ribeyes, which is a very professional gesture.

The “royal salad” belonging to warm dish was not delivered at first. After asking for it, they brought the salad - pure red onion with 3 slices of cucumber.
