β β β β β Lovely idyllic hotel situated in a small village of Lochem in the countryside. Hotel is owned and ran by a nice couple who also have their own house on the premises. Staff is really nice and friendly. We only had breakfast at the hotel but the hotel restaurant has a Michelin star so you should definitely have dinner there!

β β β β β came here to have some time alone, away from all the city noise. it was exactly what i needed. what a unique, serene hotel. i've honestly never been to a more beautiful place. the area around is great. you're free to walk miles around the forest and neighbour farms and teeny towns. the owners have an exceptional eye for detail and a feel for hospitality. the foyer smelled like burnt wood. oh, and the breakfast - such an experience. the bread was fantastic. as their homemade jams, which you can also buy at the bar and bring some home. i didn't want to go home. come here if you're tired, sick, heart-broken or just need some inspiration and joy.
