β β β β β We had a great stay at Hotel Mai. Very clean and comfortable and only steps from the train station. It's a great quiet location on the edge of Der Wallen and close to all of the public transportation. The Nespresso in the room is a fantastic touch. Checkin and put was smooth, and they even held our bags all day before we got on a train so we could walk around. I would 100% stay here again and will. There is a cafe a few doors down if you are interested in that. And the Hot Pot place a few doors down is as good as any I've ever had.

β β β β β I had an amazing time even in lockdown. We got our room upgraded for free on new years so we could see the fire works from the canal view. All in all, it's a very good place for a romantic stay.

β β β β β The location, the room, the cleanliness, and the friendliest service from a dynamic well-trained group of young staff. I had the most wonderful time staying here and can't wait to return soon. Truly a gem right in the heart of the city within walking distance from the central station. Highly recommended!

β β β β β Cosy, clean and comfortable room with stunning canal and city view. Perfect location, only few steps away from Amsterdam city center and central station. I liked the coffee machine in the room. Pity, I didn't try it.
I had breakfast included, but at the registration it was not included. Later, the reception solved this problem with no questions.

β β β β β I love the room, big and clean. Because nowadays is still corona time they didnβt clean our room. Even we were there for 3 days. So I should clean my own coffee glass and wearing the same towel. Sadly I didnβt get the room with the view and I cannot open the window to feel the fresh air. But it was nice to stay in there cause itβs located directly in the center, so donβt have to buy the transportation tickets to enjoy Amsterdam city.

β β β β β The hotel has a great location, it's a 5-minute walk to the Centraal and just around the corner is the red light district. The staff is very friendly and the design of the hotel is very nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

β β β β β We arrived this week at the Hotel Mai in Amsterdam after travelling from the UK.
Before our arrival we asked about their covid measures which were kindly explained to us before our arrival and reassuring.
Upon arrival we checked in really easily and headed to our room. We had booked a twin canal view room but were given the wrong room first. This was quickly rectified and we got into our hotel room easily.
The room upon first glance is really lovely. We had a standard canal room twin room and the view was lovely. The bathroom was adequate with decent facilities but could have done with hair conditioner and not just shampoo. Other than that the bathroom was good.
The beds were really comfortable and perfect for our 3 night stay.
The only downside is the hotel is a little stingy on the tea and coffee so I would suggest bringing your own. We were also surprised that there wasn't a luggage rack or storage facilities for items, so if you are looking for a longer stay, might want to re think and not live from your suitcase.
All in all, lovely stay, good facilities and lovely view. If you are from the UK check for additional tax that gets added on when you check in as we were clobbered with a Β£65 additional cost to the room sadly.

β β β β β Clean, calm and worth it. We have booked two rooms, one was ordinary hotel room with canal view and second was a loft. The only
Minus to the loft is awkwardly furnished apartment. Downstairs not at all inviting to sit, super empty βpaying extra for empty spaceβ but the bed floor was okay. Honestly we preferred the traditional room and if youβre thinking of getting βloft roomβ just donβt ?
Also not enough lighting in the loft room.
But would come back here as the staff was lovely and location is just perfect!
