★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Voor een kunstproject van Dorien de Wit verbleven we begin februari '22 in Hotel Nieuw Antiek. Wat een heerlijke ervaring was dat!
Vanaf het moment dat je binnenstapt voelt het alsof je terug in de tijd gaat. Haast is ineens ver weg. Heel mooi oud pand met sfeervol entree, eetzaal en salon met (gas) haard.
De kamer was eenvoudig maar had een lekker bed, er was een bureau en nespressosetje en was -net als de badkamer- lekker schoon.
Het ontbijt was niet alleen heerlijk en compleet maar ook een lust voor het oog. Mooie presentatie!
Wat ook leuk is om te weten: het is een echt kunstenaars/schrijvershotel. Zo schreef Kees van Kooten er bv. zijn laatste boek, er zijn verschillende audiotours te doen gemaakt door kunstenaars.
Ook bijzonder: je kan een diner boeken met het zelf ontworpen 'onmogelijke' servies van Pavèl van Houten, een van de gastheren zelf ook kunstenaar.
Dank je wel Bas en Pavèl voor deze bijzondere ervaring. Jullie hebben er overduidelijk veel liefde in gestopt.
We komen in april graag weer. ? Tot dan!
 For an art project by Dorien de Wit we stayed in Hotel Nieuw Antiek at the beginning of February '22. What a wonderful experience that was!
From the moment you step inside it feels like you are going back in time. Suddenly haste is far away. Very nice old building with attractive entrance, dining room and lounge with (gas) fireplace.
The room was simple but had a nice bed, there was a desk and a Nespresso coffee machine and was - just like the bathroom - nice and clean.
The breakfast was not only delicious and complete but also a feast for the eyes. Nice presentation!
What is also nice to know: it is a real artists/writers hotel. For example, Kees van Kooten wrote his last book there, there are various audio tours made by artists.
Also special: you can book a dinner with the self-designed 'impossible' crockery by Pavèl van Houten, one of the hosts who is also an artist.
Thank you Bas and Pavèl for this special experience. You obviously put a lot of love into it.
We would love to come again in April. ? See you then!

Good location, private parking available on site.
Very good breakfast with good coffee.
Rooms seem to be out of design and would be great to refresh them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bas and Pavél made us feel incredibly welcome. The room, the breakfast, the vibe, it was all superb. And there is a pretty awesome boardgame collection for the guests. Would definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pavél, an artist, and Bas, a hotelier, have together transformed this already beautiful hotel into something delightfully unique. The rooms are nice and the lobby and breakfast hall feel like a lively conversation between the historic character of the hotel and the fresh ideas of its new owners.
Helden is a small town, close to many cultural locations (in three countries) that they can tell you all about. I like hotel Antiek a lot, definite recommend.
