★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At d'Olde Smidse You find nice, friendly and polite staff. The food is excellent and for a reasonable price. Typical dutch dishes like "kroketten" fries with mayonnaise and frikandellen are served here. There are also more international foods available. The location is great near the village centre on the main road. With a bike, walking or boat You can explore the area. The facility is nare a bus stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food, place to stay ??? everything so clean and niet ??❤️ Roomservice - I got lucky as I had birthday - lady got me a gift ??? My husband had spontaneous idea and I now have something to remember ??? we had room number 1, and I felt as a number 1 for a day in Giethoorn ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice owner and very polite staff. Hotel location is very beautiful. We liked how friendly and very welcoming was the owner and how he organised for us 'last minute' option for overnight. The breakfast organisation was just super! Stayed there in june, 2020.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breakfast was moderate. But customer relations were fine. The bed was horrible. I couldn't sleep. It's too much soft. There was a little bit problem on the sink was clogged. But location is very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What makes this hotel special is the hospitality shown by the owner. He was super friendly and helpful, giving us advice on what to do in the area and hosting us for our meals. We hired bikes and you can cycle to Giethoorn in a few minutes. On the second day, we cycled a round trip to Blokzijl, which was also lovely. We also had a nice boat tour too, which the owner helped us to organise.
The rooms were warm and comfortable with a good shower in the bathroom.
The restaurant had lots of choice and good beer.
