β β β β β 3DHubs - what it used to be, what it is now!
In the early days 3D Hubs was a portal to let Makers connect with each other. There was a friendly community that was happy to help with any kind of problems involving 3D printing.
The more 3D printing was getting to get more mainstream, 3D hubs decided to aim to professional services instead of local manufacturers. They started a price war in a way local maker couldn't compete anymore.
Delivery time became shorterThe whole community is getting more demanding each day cause of 3D hubs only focusing on the client. With as a consequence that personal contact between maker and innovators is no longer possible. It's a pity to see that, once a great project became such a greedy business. Also it proves that 3D hubs thinks that prototyping is a easy job, and that client just need their 3D print, instead of proffesional advice of makers in the space.
Feel sorry for yourselves. Thanks for ruining another possibility to create something good.

β β β β β Was supposed to be a super easy service but really full of hidden costs. Import fees cost me as much as the parts I ordered. Was not made by a local print shop. Really not as advertised on their website.
"Zero import issues: 3D Hubs will handle clearance, no additional paperwork needed.
No customs duties: All pricing on 3D Hubs is βall-inβ, no surprises. This includes import duties and shipping fees."
