The doctors are good, but they have an assistant who has no manners and who links silliness to arrogance. I am unfortunately out of there.

Worst experience ever with a GP! They never have a place you can never go the same day you sometimes have to beg for an appointment. They still have a lot to learn about service !!

Dear GP ever, really get to know you personally. Are honest and help you where they can.
Sometimes very busy but if you really have an emergency they just let you in.

Nice and committed GPs who sympathize with their patients and also call themselves to ask how they were doing. Very knowledgeable and involved and take all the time needed. Rarely had such fine GPs and assistants.

β β β β β Gaat erg achteruit. Lange wachttijden. Mijn eigen huisarts Is erg weinig aanwezig. Erg onhandig! Jammer...
Is deteriorating a lot. Long waiting times. I myself a little too late and was no longer helped. Been coming there for years but now I think it's enough. My own doctor Is very little present. The tape is terribly long and a 2 hour lunch break! Very clumsy! Unfortunately...

β β β β β An Honest Review of my worst ever experience.
-Day 3 - Paracetamol for a VIRUS
I went to this GP after making an appointment "next" day. The complaints were "itches on my back and pain" which were diagnosed as Herpes Zoster Virus
I thought I would be given an Anti Viral treatment immediately but was advised to take Paracetamol to kill the pain.
I never had chicken pox. or this kind of virus before but still there was no prognosis or afterthought that my immune system doesn't have knowledge of getting rid of this virus.
- Day 5 - Some more pain killers to kill a virus.
Day after day , I was only taking paracetamol/ibuprofen , the virus really started to spread across my torso. and it became really difficult move.
Somehow I called the doctor. This time the receptionist picked up the phone.. and rudely asked me what the doctors suggested me to have.. then without making appointment she said, she will call me at 12:00
Well, I got no calls!
I called them back.. this time I really almost stressed out of pain to tell her its really painful, I cant bear it anymore.
The receptionist told me to buy amitriptyline ( WHICH IS ALSO NOT AN ANTIVIRUS)
I told her , I need a prescription because I cant get this without her prescription and I cant even drive to the doctor anymore because of tremendous pain. The best thing was to email me - but they were reluctant to take my email address. Instead they wanted me to get the email from their website.. I had to google their website somehow came up with website below where I was not able to find any email address where I could sent email to the doctor.
I told them I cant find the contact details, so they need to send the request to nearby APOTHEEK(Medical shop). Thanks to my wife who actually bought the medicine..
-DAY 6 - Antivirus finally after a lot of collateral damage.
The pain was literally unbearable, the virus has damaged the left side of my torso and was spreading all over my body and my face!. The morning was so painful as never before. I called this clinic again and this time the receptionist managed to give me an appointment at 11:20. The pain was like someone had pierced a huge dagger from my back to the front of my stomach.. We went there on time 11:20 , I was waiting there painfully about 10 mins over the appointment nobody called, so my wife went to the receptionist to ask her that we took appointment at 11:20 and my husband is in lot of pain.. the response from the receptionist was "then ask him to stand"
Finally we were called in and this time there was another GP who saw the damage by the virus and was surprised why I was not given antiviral treatment the very same day!
She still called the hospital and discussed with the specialist and wondered why my immune system is not working.. if I have any sexual related diseases.(HIV). Still without any medicine descriptions, I was asked to go to hospital the same day at 14:30
With this tremendously unbearable pain, we went to the hospital with a TAXI at 1430 ( OLVG West) ..At 15:30 we got finally to meet the doctor after one hour of wait and a terrible day so far..
The doctor diagnosed me in 10-15 mins, he suggested finally to have an ANTI VIRAL medicine(Valacyclovir Aurobindo) and also blood test to check if I have a proper immune system.
-DAY 7 - Recovery
As the day progressed , my immune started to learn to kill this virus.. spots on my face had dried immediately, got a call from the doctor that my HIV tests were also negative, so my immune is working fine.
- Day 8 - After Pain
Its been about 2 weeks already the pain on my torso is still lingering, the scabs have fallen off but I still have wounds on my body. I am still unable to do normal things!
- Conclusion -
What if I was advised to have anti virus immediately after recognizing that I am being suffering with HZV ?
What if this virus had spread all across my body? specially on my face? assuming that it could be cured only by Paracetamol? I would be a dead man now
