Je kan heerlijk in gedachten verzonken op een boomstronk gaan zitten, je kan er genieten van de prachtige waterrijke natuur, de vele vogels die door het hele bos hun verhaal vertellen, de rust die je ervaart als je wandelt door het bos! Op een bank zitten en dan kijken hoe de zon met de golfjes op het water speelt, ze laat glinsteren als diamantjes of sterren aan een heldere nachtelijke hemel! Hier komt je helemaal tot rust van alle hektiek die het normale leven in zich heeft! Ik kom graag in het Dortherbos en soms fantaseer ik wel eens over hoe het er vroeger op die plek aan toe ging, hoe het kasteel er uit heeft gezien! Het bos stimuleert je fantasie, en creativiteit.....als je de natuur lief hebt, is dat de plaats om te zijn! Heerlijke plek !!! For me, the Dortherbos is a place of tranquility, reflection, enjoyment and coming to yourself. You can sit on a tree stump, sunk in thought, enjoy the beautiful water-rich nature, the many birds that tell their story throughout the forest, the tranquility that you experience when you walk through the forest! Sit on a couch and watch the sun play with the waves on the water, let it sparkle like diamonds or stars in a clear night sky! Here you can completely relax from the hectic nature of normal life! I like to come to the Dortherbos and sometimes I fantasize about how things used to be in that place, what the castle looked like! The forest stimulates your imagination and creativity ..... if you love nature, that is the place to be! Wonderful place !!!
W	Wilma Borgers on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het huis is niet te bezoeken, het is bewoond. Het landgoed is prachtig, met lanen en wandelpaden. The house cannot be visited, it is inhabited. The estate is beautiful, with avenues and walking paths.

J	Joep Walter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De rode pijlen van de "familiwandeling" sturen je efficiënt via een modderige maïsakker naar de drukke Gorsselseweg en vandaar richting Bathmen. Zeer teleurstellend. Terug via de mais is geen optie. Via het asfalt van de Kasteelweg terug naar de parkeerplaats en met devauto naar huis om hier nooit meer terug te komen. Kortom: de meest waardeloze wandeling die we ooit gemaakt hebben. Eén ster is is er een teveel. The red arrows of the "family walk" guide you efficiently through a muddy corn field to the busy Gorsselseweg and from there to Bathmen. Very disappointing. Going back through the corn is not an option. Via the asphalt of the Kasteelweg back to the parking lot and home with devauto never to come back here. In short: the most worthless walk we have ever taken. One star is one too many.

I	Iris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schitterend natuurgebied onder beheer van Natuurmonumenten. Het landhuis is niet toegankelijk. Vroeger was er een kasteel. Bomenlanen met oude beukenbomen en eiken, wisselen elkaar af met rododendron struiken, weilanden en waterpartijen. Honden zijn -aangelijnd- welkom. Diverse wandelroutes. Ingang van de Parkeerplaats is aan de Kasteelweg. Beautiful nature reserve under the management of Natuurmonumenten. The mansion is not accessible. There used to be a castle. Tree-lined avenues with old beech trees and oaks, alternate with rhododendron shrubs, meadows and water features. Dogs are welcome on a lead. Various walking routes. Entrance to the parking lot is on the Kasteelweg.
