β β β β β A friend suggested we have dinner at a local Italian restaurant after a long stroll around several shops and central station.
IL Pozzo is a unique Italian restaurant that is surprisingly located in a location that was once a wharf cellar in the late 1150s (you get the idea! extremely old) which were used for storage by sailors who had to trade supplying goods in Utrecht. This restaurant is run by an Italian family who cater to guests from all the world over.
Their prices are friendly and serve juicy steak served the way you like it. Itβs a great place to visit especially in the evening where you get to enjoy the view of a beautiful Utrecht canal while sipping a glass of Italian wine or drink of your choice! A great place for group lunches or dinners or want to enjoy a pizza.
Note:
It gets too crowdy and it may take a while for you to be served. Also be clear how you want your steak served. I prefer mine well done!

β β β β β I've been coming here for almost 8 years and this year the service is only about quantity and not quality.
I feel like I am pressured to eat faster and leave as soon as my glass or plate is empty in order to let the people from the que sit.. despite making a reservation, you always wait in line because it is not valid and nobody checks this, really pointless.
We ordered three types of pasta and it feels like no salt or pepper or any other spices touched the food, completely tasteless.
This is not the quality that I was used to, too bad because this used to be one of my favourite Italian restaurants in the region.

β β β β β The place has such a bad vibe and the prices are way to high for the food they serve. The server was so rude. We wanted to split our bill but he took my money from my hands and told us to split it later.... Can't recommend.

The waiter was constantly being rude to both my friends and to the surrounding tables, he was not helpful and when we asked to pay by card he said that cards are not accepted, which is illegal!!! Regarding the food: it is nothing like an Italian food! I DO NOT recommend this place!!

β β β β β The food was absolutely amazing here. The price to quality ratio was great. It's not too expensive and you really get filled up. Even during busy periods they are making sure the food is of great quality. If you have time to go eat somewhere and you're feeling Italian food. Try this place!

β β β β β Together with friends we ordered different pastas and it was very tasty. I was surprised how big was the portion-you could share with other person and it would be enough for both I believe.
The service was also very nice. They asked us was it tasty and did we need something else.
I will come back there yet :)
