In den Boekenkast heeft een uitgebreide lunch- en dinerkaart. Ook kun je bij ons terecht voor een borrel, vergadering of feestje. En met een eigen wijnlabel en diverse (speciaal)bieren is er altijd voor ieder wat wils te drinken!
Het grandcafé-restaurant is gevestigd in het centrum van Capelle aan den IJssel, aan het Stadsplein, links van het Isala Theater. Met voldoende, gratis parkeergelegenheid achter het Capelse gemeentehuis, en makkelijk te bereiken met de fiets en de metro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like this place. It has a peculiar interior/design. The food is good / great. It is often crowded but not too much. It can be noisy though. Nevertheless I like it and I visited it more than once :). Dog is allowed.

I was expecting a crispy brown, tasty chicken but got a small, colorless, tasteless chicken that looked like it had drowned in the puddle of soggy broth it was served in. It had absolutely no flavor at all. I had one of my colleagues try it and he agreed. The vegetables and fries were tasteless as well. I seldom give bad reviews but this was terrible. The waitress wasn't very friendly either.
