β β β β β Do NOT bank here! I sent them 10,500 Euros back in July to cover my daughter's living expenses while a student at Maastricht University. Here we are, mid October, and she still doesn't have access to her funds. Imagine living in The Netherlands and not having access to money for three months? Meanwhile, this bank has full access to the money while my daughter is on austerity budget and barely has enough to eat. Its criminal. The police should investigate this bank. I only give this bank one star because it won't let me post unless I give them at least one star. Do not bank with ING.

β β β β β ING may have an agreement with some of the Dutch universities, however, if you are a foreign student, this is not your ideal option. The ATM cash distributers offer language options, however for cards other than your ING debit card. As an ING account holder, you are expected to know Dutch and EVERYTHING is in Dutch from the screen information to the registration letters and bureaucratic account information. This would not be so bad if they provided assistance, however, when I go to deposit cash, the assist vocalizes which keys to press and doesn't walk over to provide the care to be sure the deposit is being processed currently. I've only been with them for 4 months, but I'm wondering why I still pay the fees even when I'm dissatisfied and student accounts are suppose to be free! I'm disjoining next week. I've had enough of their rudeness and poor customer service.

β β β β β Terrible customer service. Showed up for an appointment that has been booked for over a month, only to be told it is cancelled as staff called in sick. The woman was rude and said that they are busy for two months so it will be "quite a while" until I can open an account. They know there is an influx of students arriving in Maastricht - you would think they would prepare for something like this? I called head office to be told they cannot deny you seeing a banking officer and that opening an account takes two minutes and you do not need an appointment. They have officially screwed over hundreds, if not thousands of international students.

β β β β β ING is honestly the worst bank Iβve ever had to deal with. My partner has been trying to open a bank account for two months while they have been lying to us, requesting useless documents and sending us back and forth with other ING stations. Furthermore, this is without counting the hours we spent there waiting while all three employees were taking several coffee breaks in front of us. They could finally open the bank account (in 5 minutes) when my partner yelled at them in front of everyone. We, of course, were treated like criminals and « less thanΒ Β» them. They are simply the laziest, rudest, most dismissive, and wonβt help you unless you are a Dutch national. Join this bank unless you are a foreigner because you will go through hell.

β β β β β Their offers for banking, insurance and investment seem fine, but it is extremely hard to make an in-person appointment with them. Online, all slots were booked for more than four weeks ahead, so I showed up in person to ask what could be done. An employee referred me to the Post NL point near the station to open my bank account here. They, however, could only do some kind of pre-registration. I was asked to go back to the main office to complete the process and clarify my tax status. Not exactly the best customer service...

β β β β β Itβs super terrible. Theyβre a bank with 0 ATM machine inside. Why not just ran a cafΓ© business seriously??!! The staff has 0 knowledge about their own bank. He told me that the Stationstraat has ATM machine inside, and I ran to that one which turned out that theyβre closed permanently that all the facilities inside are goneβ¦speechless and angry. Super bad service to be honest.

β β β β β Despite all the negative reviews here, I went to the bank for opening an account after scheduling an appointment online. The overall procedure was very smooth and the blonde lady who helped us with the process was very friendly and professional. I was able to open an account on the same day.
After two months I wanted to convert my account into a joint account with my husband. There were no appointment slots available online and I had to call at the customer service where I got an appointment finally. So the second time also the same lady processed our application and we were able to have a joint account. So far I have got a very good service from this bank.
Did not give 5 stars since I could not schedule the appointment online second time and had to hold on the call for quite a while before someone responded.
