Dit is het (officiële) startpunt van It Fryske Fersenpaad, een al sinds 1994 bestaande Friese poëzieroute. Vanaf hier loop je naar Iens/Edens. Daar vind je aan de voet van de kerktoren het eerste paneel, met het 'Ienser folksliet', geschreven door Pyt Idzinga, de dorpsdichter van Iens/ Edens. De route is een initiatief van de Stichting Dorpshuis Edens, 1994, die destijds vond dat het kleinste dorp van Friesland zich op een originele manier kon profileren. Met resultaat: de route bestaat uit 25 panelen, geplaatst langs de Bolswardervaart, over een traject van zo'n 11 km van Iens/Edens naar Bolsward. Deze gaat over een fraai fiets-/wandelpad en werd op 27 mei 1994 geopend door het College van Gedeputeerde Staten van Friesland. In 2006 werd een aantal nieuwe gedichten geplaatst.

This is the (official) starting point of It Fryske Fersenpaad, a Frisian poetry route that has existed since 1994. From here you walk to Iens/Edens. There you will find the first panel at the foot of the church tower, with the 'Ienser folksliet', written by Pyt Idzinga, the village poet of Iens/Edens. The route is an initiative of the Stichting Dorpshuis Edens, 1994, which at the time thought that the smallest village in Friesland could profile itself in an original way. The result: the route consists of 25 panels, placed along the Bolswardervaart, over a route of about 11 km from Iens/Edens to Bolsward. This is about a beautiful cycling/walking path and was opened on May 27, 1994 by the Board of the Provincial Executive of Friesland. In 2006 a number of new poems were posted.
