Lijkt het je leuk om in de buitenlucht les te geven aan schaatsende kinderen van 4 tot 15 jaar? Voor het komende schaatsseizoen (Oktober t/m Maart) zijn wij op zoek naar enthousiaste en leergierige schaatsinstructeurs op de Jaap Eden IJsbaan.
Wat bieden we?
We bieden een fantastische (bij)baan aan op de mooiste locatie van Amsterdam aan. We hebben een hele open en prettige werksfeer binnen de collega groep. Hierdoor kan je altijd met vragen over je lessen bij iedereen terecht. Daarnaast helpen we je met het voorbereiden van een goede les en is er veel doorgroeimogelijkheid als instructeur om jezelf te verbeteren en specialiseren in de verschillende leeftijdsgroepen die we les geven. De uren die je op het ijs maakt zijn altijd in overleg met de planner, je komt nooit voor onverwachtse groepen en uren te staan. Naast de regulieren cursussen waar we je voor opleiden, zijn er ook kinderfeestjes, vakantie cursussen en schoolschaatsen in de hal wat we voor de jeugd aanbieden.
Wie zoeken we?
Ben jij beschikbaar vanaf Oktober tot Maart, en ben je gemotiveerd, leergierig en kan je schaatsen? Dan ben jij degene die we zoeken. Een basis van schaatskwaliteiten vereisen we wel van je. Deze kunnen gedurende het seizoen ook nog bijgespijkerd worden. Je mag namelijk gewoon meedoen met een lesgroepje van een collega, niemand is nooit uitgeleerd! Vanaf 14 jaar mag je komen solliciteren bij de Jaap Eden Schaatsschool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time with my daughter on a beautiful spring day. Note that parking is only 10 cents an hour, but entry was 11,50 for us both, and skate hire runs to 6 euro a pair. Rental skates can be a bit knackered, but still fit for purpose. My daughter needed a frame to start practicing on the ice hockey rink, but they were only available if you could actually find the first aid lady. She'd hidden the frames away from the schoolkids horsing around with them. Eventually everything worked out and we enjoyed our day immensely :-)

There's adorable little fairylights and music playing, the ice is really smooth and nice, They have all sorts of skates you can hire, not just hockey skates, figure skates too, and there's a lovely little cafe with an amazing atmosphere. Be careful of skating close to the middle if you're an amateur though; that's where the professionals skate. Oh and the smaller skating rink is great too, there's metal things there that can help you with skating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovel place to properly ice skate. There is a lot of space to move, the ring is very big, there is a small place for beginners. The staff are awesome. The only shocking thing for we was that you need to rent skates seperately to the entrence fee. The skates start at 7 euros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely great ice rink, definitely come here for this, but don't go for a curling clinic! Way to expensive for what you get, flimsy equipment (we literally got two regular house brooms rather than curling sweepers), a court that's way to short and outdoor ice that just isn't that good for curling.
Also their restaurant lacks in service. Go indoor every time you want to order a drink or wait for ages.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It´s very nice and spacious, although a bit far from city center. Also I was there for 2h and the machines didn´t clean the ice once.. and we were always skating towards the same sense (I´m used to changing from time to time.. after machines come and clean).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the first, oldest and loveliest ice speed skating rink of the Netherlands. It is not the best or the world famous one, but it is certainly full of nostalgia and still situated in the middle of a regular neighborhood of Amsterdam close to where Cruijff once grew up and where the old (gone) Ajax stadium used to be. Among the green trees on one side it is really worth a visit if you are into winter sports and ice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit crowded but a very nice experience. There is a big rink and also a side court for figure skaters or to train on it with your first steps. People working there are very kind, even when by mistake you stay there without permission during a club hour (that's me ahaha). You can rent everything there if needed, so no worries! One star less because I rented a pair of skates that was not sharpened at all and as a beginner I spent a lot of time figuring out why I couldn't skate properly and I was slippering on the sides... Maybe they should improve that and sharpen those rent skates a bit better or more regularly...

Lots of seating areas to get ready. Smooth and easy to skate on ice.
