★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the little place! Went there yesterday with a friend and being in the hectic center of Amsterdam and finding a spot to be where is just nice and quiet is a gift.
The sushi is delicious and the price is more than affordable! We ate the 2 of us for 30€ total.
The staff is really welcoming and sweet. Will definetely come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall OK, but I am honestly surprised by the high ratings here on Google review. I was expecting a top-notch restaurant, and it is clearly not.
Plus sides: very cosy interior and relaxed atmosphere. The sushi rice was delicious and that's very important!
Downsides: the salmon sashimi had very little taste, the service was not exactly friendly, and the presentation somewhat sloppy. What really made me doubt the quality of the sushi is the way it was cut. The pieces of our rolls were all crooked, and it left me wondering whether the staff actually know what they are doing.
I probably won't come back here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic yet affordable, I had a fantastic take away with my partner. We had the large sushi set for two plus some sashimi. It was amazing. Staff were also super friendly when picking up. Thanks again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jo sushi is quite the institution in Amsterdam for those who appreciate good quality sushi in an authentic Japanese restaurant. Its been based here for over 20 years and still locals keep coming. Don’t expect upmarket dining or 28 types of saki, but just good quality fish ? and sushi.
