★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aan de Kneuterdijk in den Haag staat het Johan de Witthuis. Het toenmalig woonhuis van staatspensionaris Johann de Witt, en ook naar hem vernoemd. Hij was staatspensionaris van. Het Johan de Witthuis is een rijksmonument Kneuterdijk nummer 6 in Den Haag. Het huis is genoemd naar de raadpensionaris Johan de Witt, die er van 1669 tot aan zijn gewelddadig overlijden in 1672 woonde. Hij is door het volk, het zgn. gepeupel vermoord. Het huis is niet publiekelijk toegankelijk. Het wordt nu als vergaderruimte voor de Rijksoverheid gebruikt. Het pand is fraai van binnen, nog in oude stijl.
Johan de Witthuis is located on the Kneuterdijk in The Hague. The then home of state pensioner Johann de Witt, and also named after him. He was a state pensioner. The Johan de Witthuis is a national monument Kneuterdijk number 6 in The Hague. The house is named after the pensionary Johan de Witt, who lived there from 1669 until his violent death in 1672. He was murdered by the people, the so-called mob. The house is not open to the public. It is now used as a meeting room for the national government. The building is beautiful inside, still in old style.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een schitterend pand. Het Johan de Withuis stond een tijdje te koop, maar niemand wilde het hebben (voor de prijs die gevraagd werd). Nu is dit Rijksmonument in gebruik als ontvangsthuis voor het Rijksvastgoedbedrijf en kan het ook gehuurd worden door andere overheden.
What a beautiful building. The Johan de Withuis was for sale for a while, but nobody wanted it (for the price that was asked). Now this national monument is used as a reception house for the Central Government Real Estate Agency and can also be rented by other governments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtige vergaderlocatie in hartje Den Haag. Het huis dat ooit werd gehuurd door de befaamde Nederlandse staatsman Johan de Wit. Vlak bij het Groene Zootje waar De Wit of gruwelijke wijze werd omgebracht.
Interieur nu grotendeels 18e-eeuws interieur op de begane grond, boven nog 17e-eeuwse beschilderde balkenplafonds. Een bezoek meer dan waard...
Beautiful meeting location in the heart of The Hague. The house that was once rented by the famous Dutch statesman Johan de Wit. Near the Groene Zootje where De Wit was killed or horrific.
Interior now largely 18th-century interior on the ground floor, above still 17th-century painted beamed ceilings. More than worth a visit...
