★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wouldn't recommend. Surly server; my companions and I never saw her again after ordering what turned out to be tiny cups of very disappointing coffee. The inside is bizarre, like it's half done. There are some great accessories and a couple of nice areas (around the hearth), but the rest of the place is randomly put together and institutional - like visiting a retirement home or a summer camp canteen. Even the lighting was institutional. Just another establishment that can (apparently) afford to sacrifice quality service and food because of its great location.

Can be quite a busy area in summer or on nice days. lots of people walking their dogs too during the day.
The beach club is a good place to stop for a drink or a bite to eat

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love this place! Very chill but still great service. This seems to be one of the most dynamic spots along the lake to stop for food and a drink. The inside eating area is lovely with various seating options and a child's play place (and you won't leave covered in food smell). There is an extensive terrace which also links to another sunny bar that provides heated seating when it's just warm enough to sit outside in spring/fall. Their borrel menu is good with vegetarian options. They have some nice beers on tap and a generally good size of drink options. There are also pub quizzes here from time to time but in Dutch. Overall, an excellent stop to make when in the lake area!
