★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonder castle that is definitely worth a visit! Now, during the pandemic it is not easy to find fin and interesting activities but visiting a castle is a great corona proof day out. Not many people around since you have to buy a ticket online for a timeslot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very impressive and full of history. This castle has a medieval look and in perfect conservation. Inside you have the feeling to travel in time. You can almost talk to the land lord... hehehehe
You can even dress up as a knight or as the people from that time.

Restaurant next to it also nice to have some food, friendly staffs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful castle with a moat. The grounds are lovely and there is a pretty church next to it. There is not a ton to look at inside but it’s cool to just walk around. We were done in 45 minutes. The gift shop has pretty journal books and quill pens. The staff are very friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ammersoyen Castle is one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in the country. When visiting the castle, built in the 1300‘s, you will immediately feel the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. You’re welcome to either explore the castle by yourself, or on a guided tour. Children will have an excellent time exploring. Tickets are online available but also at the castle. Drinks and a bite to eat can be found at the tavern next to the fortress.
