A very nice building to take pictures. I would like to take photos indoors. Who is the administrator of this?

De ruïne is zo'n bijzondere plek. De stilte van het gebouw spreekt.
The ruin is such a special place. The silence of the building speaks.

Nice, you can walk around it. There aren't that many church ruins in nl and if you're at the castle anyway, take a tour around the church

These are the times when I hate the fact that I don't own a good photo camera. What a cool place! So run down that it is beautiful. Beautiful to see. And very bizarre to read that the church is still in use. At least, part of the building. And the way the church has fallen into disrepair is also remarkable. At the entrance is a sign with information about this church. I certainly do not regret this visit!

Impressive piece of history. Catholics abandoned a large part of the church during the reformation, creating a ruin between the choir, which is the still active church, and the tower. Damages from WWII make it even more impressive. A small graveyard and the shadows created by the ruins make it feel haunted and creepy. Very quiet place, good for a small walk.

The Ruïnekerk is a 15th-century church on the Raadhuisstraat in Bergen, North Holland . The church was burned down during the Eighty Years' War , but the ruins were partly rebuilt afterwards. The church has the status of a national monument . The Ruin Church is used by the Protestants , nowadays the Protestant congregation of Bergen, for weekly church services. Mourning and wedding services are also held here. Classical music concerts regularly take place in the Ruïnekerk; the building is known for its good acoustics . [1] The church organ from 1886, built by Johan Frederik Kruse , comes from the Reformed Church of Koog aan de Zaan . [2] It was purchased in 1913 by the Reformed Municipality of Bergen. It was restored in 1960.
