★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gedurende 14 maanden een gemeubileerd appartement gehuurd met Kempen als tussenpersoon.
De woning was, naar onze mening, schoon en representatief opgeleverd, zoals het hoort. Gedurende ons verblijf in de woning werden we tot onze tevredenheid voorzien van een nieuwe bank. De eigenaresse van de woning vond het echter niet nodig om een vlekgevoelige zwarte bank vooraf te impregneren (hetgeen aangeraden wordt door de fabrikant).
Bij oplevering bleken er vlekken op de bank te zitten die volgens Kempen toe te schrijven waren aan ons 'onregelmatig' gebruik. Er werd met een onprofessionele dienstverlening zonder pardon een gedeelte van de Borg ingehouden en een factuur onder je neus geschoven. Het belang van verhuurder werd zonder enig overleg vooropgesteld aan het belang van de huurders.
Uiteraard is het soms 'grijs gebied' maar naar onze mening is het je morele plicht als tussenpersoon om hierin de balans te vinden en niet om zonder enige vorm van communicatie, eigen conclusies trekken en kosten te verhalen op huurders, zonder overleg. Voor ons geen appartementen van Kempen meer.
 Rented a furnished apartment for 14 months with Kempen as intermediary.
The house was, in our opinion, clean and representative, as it should be. During our stay in the house we were provided with a new sofa to our satisfaction. However, the owner of the house did not consider it necessary to pre-impregnate a stain-sensitive black sofa (which is recommended by the manufacturer).
Upon delivery, there were stains on the sofa that, according to Kempen, were attributable to our 'irregular' use. A portion of the Deposit was withheld unceremoniously with an unprofessional service and an invoice shoved under your nose. The interest of the landlord was put before the interest of the tenants without any consultation.
Of course it is sometimes a 'grey area', but in our opinion it is your moral duty as an intermediary to find the balance in this and not to draw your own conclusions without any form of communication, and to recover costs from tenants, without consultation. No more Kempen apartments for us.
