W	Wolbert Erich on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De kerk van Hogebeintum staat boven op de terp en dateert uit de 11e of 12e eeuw en is eigendom van Stichting Alde Fryske Tsjerken. In de kerk bevinden zich de rouwborden van de geslachten Van Coehoorn, Van Nijsten en De Schepper die in Harsta State woonden, een iets buiten het dorp gelegen stins. Onder aan de terp is een bezoekerscentrum met toilet en de mogelijkheid om te zitten en iets te drinken. Er is parkeergelegenheid. De terp ligt op bijna 9 meter boven de zeespiegel en is omstreeks het jaar 1000 aangelegd en is vanaf de parkeerplaats makkelijk te bereiken. The church of Hogebeintum is on top of the mound and dates from the 11th or 12th century and is owned by the Alde Fryske Tsjerken Foundation. In the church are the mourning signs of the genera Van Coehoorn, Van Nijsten and De Schepper who lived in Harsta State, a little bit outside the village. At the bottom of the mound is a visitor center with toilet and the possibility to sit and have a drink. There is parking. The mound is almost 9 meters above sea level and was built around the year 1000 and is easily accessible from the parking lot.
A	Aad Zonneveld on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dit is zo mooi om te bezoeken, vanuit het lage land heb je een prachtig zicht op de terpkerk en vanaf de terp weer een prachtig uitzicht over het omliggende land. De kerk heeft een interessante geschiedenis en hangt vol met fraaie rouwborden van het geslacht Harsta. Het museum geeft een goed overzicht van de geschiedenis van de terp en heeft prima koffie met gebak te bieden en men kan er souvenirs kopen. De gids was zeer gedreven en wist een boeiend e samenvatting te geven. Vergeet niet de nabij gelegen Harsta State even te bekijken, jammer genoeg niet te bezoeken. Het zou een prachtige aanvulling zijn om de state bij het museum te trekken en open te stellen voor toerisme. This is so beautiful to visit, from the low country you have a beautiful view of the mound church and from the mound again a beautiful view of the surrounding country. The church has an interesting history and is full of beautiful mourning signs of the genus Harsta. The museum gives a good overview of the history of the mound and has great coffee and cakes to offer and you can buy souvenirs. The guide was very driven and managed to give a fascinating summary. Don't forget to take a look at the nearby Harsta State, unfortunately not to visit. It would be a wonderful addition to draw the state at the museum and open it up to tourism.
