The natural light really works well in this cafe and it's nice to sit outside or on the covered patio and watch folks ride by on the busy street. In fact it was the location and ambiance that made the lunch. Otherwise the so-so food would have soured the experience.
It may have been an off day in the kitchen but I found the food to look much better than it actually was. I had the burger and my wife the pizza. Despite being asked "Is medium okay?" for the burger it came out very well done. Pizza hit the spot though slightly bland on the flavor of the sauce. Certainly not food I would send back, but also not something for which I would ever tell a friend "You gotta try this burger!".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered soup and drinks. Drinks took ~15min and the soup (nothing complicated, tomato soup) took over 30 minutes even though there were barely any customers. The soup was OK, not anything better than ready-made tomato soup from the store. Wouldn’t go again, unfortunately. The staff was nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated near the Spuistraat you'll find this place for a nice breakfast or lunch. There's an indoor terrace and English speaking staff. Our lunch and glühwein where good. Only point of attention is the watery orange juice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place! I got a good vibe the minute I saw it. The workers were friendly and helpful regarding my diet restrictions (vegetarian) and recommended some dishes and removed non-vegetarian ingredients. Would definitely recommend and visit if I come to Amsterdam again. The atmosphere, the people, the view. I love it. I forgot to take pictures, maybe next time? (they ask for vaccination proof + ID) no need for scan or negative pcr.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No complaints here! Stopped in for weekend lunch. Got lucky as we didn’t have a booking. We just went a little earlier before lunch rush. Nice ambiance, good service, good prices, good food, and a full bar. Nice bathrooms too as they are connected to the hotel. We sat in the sun room area and it was very pleasant.
