Er waren ideeën voor een Javabrug die Noord met het centrum zou moeten verbinden. Plannen uit 2007 waren om de brug bij het Azartplein neer te leggen, via het kleine Kompaseiland naar Amsterdam Noord
In earlier times ships could dock here to calibrate their compass.
There were ideas for a Java bridge that should connect Noord to the center. Plans from 2007 were to lay the bridge at the Azartplein, via the small Kompaseiland to Amsterdam Noord
