★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a couple of “bites” at the vrouw met de baard including the croquettes, rendang, devil eggs and sushi with smoked salmon belly. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. The food was beyond anything I had ever tasted before and inspired me personally for my cooking. You can truly taste passion and a love of cooking that most restaurants are missing. Our meal was the main topic for the rest of the day. Seriously impressed!

5 stars for a great dinner, friendly and attentive staff, and good price for the quality of food. We had the vegan menu for two and it was spot on in terms of size, and spice. This was my second time going and the menu had changed and provided different options. The restaurant is pretty small so recommend getting a reservation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thought we’d do something special and went for a 5 course meal here. My standard for Asian food is very high because I’m Asian Australian. This place was so so, nothing too exciting. It was all very familiar food but I was expecting it to be taken up a notch because of the price, but it wasn’t, just smaller potions and more expensive. Anyways it was an interesting experience. I get why my white Dutch friend recommend it, but I also have to realise our food experiences are very different.
