A	Anelya on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I discovered this chain on my recent trip to Italy. For a family of 4, I would pay for a cart full of food about 100Euro. I came back to Amsterdam and decided to find Lidl here. I usually shop at the AH, but yesterday I got on my bike and got here. It was clean and organized. Still, all produce and packaged food were still in the boxes, which did not bother me at all, but I can see how some people could find it a bit disturbing. Fruits and Vegetables were fresh and undamaged. Fish selection while small, had a good salmon and cod filets. Chicken and Meat had a sufficient selection. Laundry detergent was priced very reasonably. This is not my regular shopping place, as I still value AH XL selection, but If I need basics and have time to bike back/forth I would be back. Oh, and chocolates are so good!

Already seeing lots of improvements during the last few years, but there's definitely more space for getting better. Happy to see almond/oat milk and honey alternatives. Hope there are more cheese/dairy alternatives in the future and more modern products. Every time I visit this Lidl, it looks cleaner and enriched with more stuff, so 5 stars for the positive progress. Edit: The place haven't improved for a while and product portfolio isn't consistent

P	Paul Rueckert on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ More and more name brands to be found here. Their own-brand gourmet items have improved, as have their baked goods. This is my go-to place for all my staples. I'm always amazed at the weight of my shopping bag when I leave here after having spent relatively little money. Mid-morning is a good time to shop to avoid the crowds, except at the weekend, when people descend on this place in droves. Extra bonus: no annoying music. No music at all, in fact. Thumbs up!
