★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A canal cruise is an absolute must if you are visiting Amsterdam. I have done so many canal cruises with so many guests, but i always choose a cruise where you have a live guide. I do not enjoy the audio recordings and all automated guided tours.
All though i must say that during the Corona virus times, this is the place to be, since they have large boats and there is a lot of space between you and other people. The locations on to hop on are also very central. They have a very good spot just outside the Central Station. As this ride is as a complementary if you have IAmsterdam card.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took the small boat tour from the Anne Frank location on a Sunday morning at 10:00 am. There were only six of us in the boat and we had a marvelous tour guide. We could move about the boat and get all the pictures we wanted. The guide was low key and explained all the things we were seeing and answered any questions that we had.

what I wish we would have known before was that the tour was given via audio headphones. We would have preferred a personal guide. It was difficult to understand which site the audio was talking about because there was no one to point in the right direction.
Time:
We purchased the 1 hour tour from the Anne Frank house. The tour was closer to 1.5 hours and didn’t give us much time to get to our next event.
Weather:
don’t go on the tour if it’s raining. It was very difficult to see many of the sites. On the bright side, if you find yourself in the same situation it was something to do to get out of the rain.
Boat:
very clean and tables to bring snacks and/or drinks on the boat. Boat is covered so you stay dry if raining.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A complimentary ride from the IAmsterdam card. English speaking guide/captain. Introductory on brief history and some witty points along the cruise routes with individual earphones. A relatively different yet soothing way to absorb the views along the canals.

We booked our tickets and went to the adress but they were closed! We tried calling the number on the tickets but nobody answered. We waited for 45 minutes wasting our time for nothing. And on top of all that, when we asked for a refund they answered REAL quick that no refund is possible.
We wasted half a day of our vacation in the beautiful city of Amsterdam for nothing.
