β β β β β Hmm! First, a declaration: I'm a Brit, so we tend to be fairly spoilt with Indian food. This wasn't it in my view. The poppadums were soft and chewy, though the sauces were fine. The onion bhajis were pretty good. I found the vegetarian jhalfrezi pretty awful: vegetables plus a generous source of heat but with virtually none of the beautiful eruption of Indian flavours between. The lamb with spinach was generous in the latter, but again, I found the layering of flavours that characterizes Indian cuisine to be virtually absent; I'd not have guessed it was Indian if I had been blindfolded. Portions were generous but this was not what I would call Indian cooking. Very disappointing.

β β β β β This is not real Indian food. Full of food color(unhealthy). Even my biryani was full of orange color. Even the rice was not cooked well. Big pieces of Potato in biryani, to fill space were a sight of horror to me. Not an Indian restaurant, but a Bhutani one(I dont care, as long as the food is good, but thats not the case).

β β β β β Well, you need to be prepared to wait for a while before getting your food, but other than that everything was delicious, great food, good service and the owner is a very nice man...if he has the time to have a little talk. It is a busy place.

β β β β β It was my first time eating in an Indian restaurant, probably will be my last time. The food was awful, spicy but tasteless, rice was uncooked. I have never paid for such bad and expensive meal before. We wait too long for appetizers . I hope it wasnβt the real Indian restaurant. Very bad impression ??

β β β β β I have to admit I've never been to India, nor visited tons of Indian restaurants. I do know one thing however..... I definitely love the food they're serving here!
The restaurant is located at the Harderwijk waterfront and has a terrace with an impressive view during sunset. The inside of the restaurant is simple, yet cozy. Due to faulty reservations at our "first pick" we had to look for food in the vicinity and came across Mamta. We asked if they still had a table for four left, and fortunately (although the restaurant and terrace were completely packed) they managed to squeeze us in with a smile. They did warn is for long waiting times however, which was understandable with the huge amount of guests. We happily accepted the table and after a few minutes a friendly waiter came to take our orders.
As expected, it took a decent amount of time (almost two hours) before our main-courses arrived. But we weren't really bothered by this fact due to our tasty starters, snacks in the form of crispy papadums, good company and a couple of drinks. Even though it was really busy, waiters stopped regularly to ask if we were alright and if we would like another drink. Nice service! Once the main courses arrived we all loved them! The vindaloo I ordered was quite spicy for Dutch standards (I handle spicy food pretty well due to an Indonesian influences in our family, and this dish was nearing the max I could handle) and really tasty. My girlfriend (who can be picky with Eastern/Asian food) really enjoyed her chicken masala too. Our guests had different curries and in the end we pretty much shared all our food. Simply delicious!
To sum it up, the four of us walked away totally satisfied. =) We'll definitely return, because during our wait we saw like a dozen delicious looking dishes we just have to try! ;) So, see you next time Mamta!

β β β β β Iβm so sad that we threw our money away by choosing this restaurant!! If some one has been in an Indian restaurant before, would know this is not a real Indian taste at all! Even you cannot find another category for their taste! For 100% I can tell that the taste and cooking quality was so poor!!! All of our rice were uncooked!!! They added color on the foods!!!
And concerning serving, servant were not trained that they should set the table by theirselves and shouldnβt give the plate and cutlery to you for putting in front of you! They were friendly but that is not enough for being a good restaurant!
It took over an hour to get our appetizer and much longer to receive our food!!
Totally a negative experience!
And my friends who were trying Indian cuisine for the first time, would never go Indian restaurant again as they had such a terrible experiance in their first try!
