C	Colleen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great history museum with working windmills. Please be respectful when visiting. This is a working and living museum. Which means people live in the actual homes you see. People still work inside those windmills too. We enjoyed the tour very much.

V	Veronika on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to dive into the Dutch culture and explore traditions. A museum - village, where you can see what real Holland is about. You can get there by bus in just 30 min from Amsterdam Central Station. There are a couple of cafés there, restaurant and gift shops. Amazing view on the Ijselmeer with many sail yachts on a sunny day. Definatley a do!

There are still 8 inhabited mounds on the island. The museum has different displays of traditional clothes for different occasions. They have a collection of paintings and items about the history of Marken. Worth paying a visit to this museum run by volunteers.
